Don’t be fooled by the word “University” – there are no exams, no prior learning, just fun, friendship, and lifelong learning for anyone over 50!

Since 1990, Maryborough U3A has grown thanks to our amazing volunteers — the Tutors who share their passions and the Committee Members who keep everything running smoothly. Special thanks to Donna Suter, whose vision helped create this vibrant community.

Join us and see what U3A can offer you — learning, laughter, and new friendships await!

Courses & Activities

From yoga and tai chi to dance, pickleball, card games, chess, ukulele, singing, creative writing, philosophy, and even AI courses, there’s something for everyone!  Most classes run for the entire year (not during school holidays) and are held in venues throughout our area. Memberships

Membership lets you enrol in as many courses as you like, though some classes have participant limits. We offer full annual membership, as well as reciprocal membership with Howard and Hervey Bay, so you can take courses at these U3As. You may like to visit other U3As while travelling throughout Australia.
